FairHoPe Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. is proud to introduce the 

latest addition to our services with the construction of The Pickering House!

The Pickering House is a home-like setting situated on approximately 40 picturesque 

acres for our patients to enjoy.  Views of nature and the quiet wooded setting will make 

patients feel right at home!

A few of the special features of The Pickering House include:  

·  12 patient rooms

·  Family lounge with kitchenette for families to use

·  Family parlor

·  Two three-season porches

·  Chapel

·  Great Room

                        What Type of Care Will Be Offered?

While most Hospice patients wish to remain at home, sometimes an alternate plan 

is needed.  That’s where The Pickering House comes in!  Patients may be admitted for:

·  Short-term pain and symptom management

·  Respite

·  Imminent death

·  Time for care-giving arrangements to be made

Prior to admission to The Pickering House, the Hospice Team will meet with the family 

to determine the best care plan for our patients.

                            Interested in Becoming Involved?

There are many ways you may become involved!  Naming opportunities are still available!  

Opportunities range from patient rooms to walking trails to all areas in between.

Volunteers are also needed!  We are looking for volunteers who may be interested in 

assisting in various roles at The Pickering House!  From answering phones and greeting 

guests to visiting with patients and families - we would love to have you as part of our
